Over 30 years ago, MD formed with a group of environmental attorneys, some with young children at home, who set out to prove that lawyers can earn a living doing sophisticated legal work and have a rich family life. A firm with these values cannot thrive unless there is a commitment to integrity, professionalism and teamwork from everyone involved. MD has been privileged to find attorneys and staff with these fundamental values and we continue to be a firm where dignity and respect for people and the environment are a part of everyday life. The firm offers flexible work arrangements in a hybrid environment for all team members. We have built a culture of support for all staff and attorneys with opportunities for leadership and professional development. This also includes supporting their professional causes, nominating them for awards and leadership programs, providing time during the workday to attend marketing and professional development events, and encouraging them to take on community and industry leadership roles.

Please note that MD does not typically offer a program for summer interns or law clerks. We believe that mentoring aspiring environmental law students and recent graduates is crucial to their professional development.
